Rocío Annunziata

Rocío is an associate researcher for CONICET, based at the Political Research Institute of the National University of San Martín in Argentina. She has a Ph.D. in political studies from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris) and another in social sciences from the University of Buenos Aires.

Rocío also currently works as an adjunct professor of contemporary political theory at the University of Buenos Aires and as a professor of political science at the National University of San Martín. She directs the collection Contemporary Political Thought at Prometeo publishing house and is a member of the #NoSinMujeres Network of Political Scientists.

In her research, Rocío addresses the transformations of democracy, contemporary forms of citizen participation and digital activism. She has published works on participatory budgeting and youth participatory budgeting in Argentina, digital participatory budgeting, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the digital development of participatory budgeting.
