Ramon is a Ph.D. candidate at UCLouvain in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. His research interests include deliberative democracy, democratic innovation and green political thought. His recent publications include Citizen involvement in public policy (Public Administration) and Political exclusion and support for democratic innovations (Political Science Research and Methods, with Jaroslaw Kantorowicz).

Ramon has conducted several evaluations of online participatory budgeting for the municipality of The Hague, in the Netherlands. For his Ph.D. project, he uses cross-cultural ethnographic materials and survey experiments to study people’s intuitions related to deliberative decision-making.
