Over 3,000 citizens contribute to Leuven’s plan

The city of Leuven, Belgium used a digital platform to involve residents in the creation of a local strategic plan.

In the first phase of the project, over 3,007 citizens registered on the online platform and shared a total of 2,331 ideas, including safer bike lanes, game libraries, and outdoor fitness equipment During the summer of 2019, the administration of Leuven effectively gave official feedback on 2,238 ideas. The ideas were incorporated in the city's strategic plan.
