People Powered has both organizational and individual members. Organizational members are local, national, and regional organizations that directly implement, support, or advocate for participatory democracy. Individual members are practitioners, civil servants, researchers, and advocates who work on participatory democracy.
Participatory democracy includes approaches such as participatory budgeting, participatory policy-making and planning, legislative theater, and citizens’ assemblies. People Powered supports members in addressing common challenges, building power and resources, and advocating for shared priorities.
